Profile
- Siddhanth is an experienced dispute resolution lawyer who has over 12 years of experience spread across Dubai and India. Prior to moving to Dubai, he had worked with Karanjawala & Company, Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas (both Tier 1 Indian law firms known for their dispute resolution practices) and was also instrumental in establishing Black Robe Chambers as its Deputy Head of Chambers.
- At Kadernani & Company Legal Consultants, he focuses on English litigation, DIFC and ADGM disputes, commercial arbitration under the DIAC, ICC and DIFC along with conducting corporate drafting and rendering corporate advise.
- He has also briefly worked with Eli Lilly, one of the biggest American Pharmaceutical companies as Legal Counsel in Dubai prior to joining the Firm.
Experience
- Successfully represented a U.A.E. based developer in a high stake DIFC litigation before the Court of First Instance, Court of Appeal and contempt proceedings emanating from unpaid security cheques in a FIDIC construction contract.
- Advised and represented a well-known Dubai based developer in a DIAC arbitration emanating from the breach of a FIDIC contract by the contractor.
- Currently advising and representing shareholders of a BVI company in a share purchase dispute before the DIFC Courts and connected proceedings before the English Courts.
- Successfully represented a Dubai based developer in challenging the setting aside of a DIFC-LCIA arbitration award before the DIFC Courts and in parallel enforcement proceedings before the Dubai Courts.
- Drafting contracts which include but are not limited to sale purchase agreements, share purchase and share transfer agreements, FIDIC construction contracts, principal – contractor – sub contractor back-to-back construction contracts, joint development and joint venture agreements, commercial tenancy contracts, escrow agreements etc.
