Profile
- Naheed has more than 20 years of experience as a lawyer, more than 18 years of which have been spent in UAE advising Clients both domestic and internationally on commercial transactions and dispute resolution in the U.A.E.
- He has actively engaged with the Boards and C level executives of leading organizations in the U.A.E. and internationally and has significant experience of advising large corporate and public and private sector entities in the U.A.E. and Kenya.
- He was involved in the set-up and management of Accord International Advocates and Legal Consultants, a full-service law firm established in Dubai in 2005 offering a bouquet of legal services in U.A.E. which he left in 2021 to launch Kadernani and Company Legal Consultants.
Notable Achievements
- Advised an association of leading international airlines on a multi-million-dollar dispute with one of their service providers.
- Successfully represented U.A.E. based developers in both the Dubai Court, DIFC Courts and arbitration in disputes emanating from FIDIC construction contracts.
- Collaborated with Ross Sandler, the former New York City Commissioner of Transport to draft road regulations for one of the Emirates of the U.A.E.
- Lead Counsel on the sale of shares of one of the biggest mobile and telecommunication service providers based in the horn of Africa.
- Drafted a variety of securitization documents to secure financing by Indian banks in the UAE.
- Advised and managed restructuring of large number of multinational corporations to the U.A.E. particularly with moving their corporate headquarters to the U.A.E.
- Retained by number of Developers in the U.A.E. to advice and structure developments and off plan sales.
